When we heard that Tim Burton was going to be producing a live-action adaptation of Alice in Wonderland, we were pretty excited. The movie was just as incredible as we thought it would be, and it even won an Academy Award for Best Art Direction, and one for Best Achievement in Costume Design.
Unfortunately, eagle-eyed fans have spotted a few continuity mistakes within this production, though. During one particular scene, Alice's shoes seem to swap between two different styles. Perhaps she does just like to change her shoes? Or perhaps not… Maybe the costume designers should have paid a little bit more attention! Mind you, it is Tim Burton, maybe it's supposed to be that way. We wouldn't put it past him!
The Godfather (1972)
The Godfather is one of those movie franchises that you just can't beat. After all, what other movie stars the likes of es Caan, and Richard Castellano? There is a reason why this Francis Ford Coppola movie is often voted one of the best movies – if not, THE best movie, ever.
A year after its release, it was discovered that The Godfather had been nominated for a whopping 11 Academy Awards, and they eventually went home with three of those. Yet, we'd like to get in touch with the production crew's windshield repair guy, because he did one impressive job in this movie. It seems as though the windshield just magically repaired itself after being shattered.
Toy Story (1995)
It's hard to imagine that there is anything wrong with Toy Story because this movie is just so iconic. However, it seems that even the geniuses at Pixar make a few mistakes from time to time. We've already seen a few animations with mistakes, and Toy Story has its own too. Most notably, this movie is guilty of disappearing electrical sockets.
From one angle, you can clearly see the outlet, from another angle it's completely gone. Despite this little niggle, Toy Story was nominated for three Academy Awards, and the fourth movie has recently come out too. It looks like this friendly bunch of toys can get away with anything, even moving electrical sockets around. We'd never blame Tom Hanks (Woody) or Tim Allen (Buzz), though!
The Hurt Locker (2009)
The Hurt Locker was released in 2009, and we don't think our lives have been the same since. Produced and directed by superb website to read Kathryn Bigelow, this movie became the first female-directed film within the Academy's history to win Best Picture – and that's kind of a big deal. 2 million around the world.
Of course, like many other movies out there, the integrity of the movie was spoiled for just a few seconds when we saw one of the crew member's hands in the shot. Alas, it happens to the best of them! Even with all of those awards under her belt, it just goes to show that any director can let a little thing like this slip through the net. We bet it's frustrating to see, though!
We have Alfonso Cuaron to thank for writing, directing, producing, and co-editing this 2019 Oscar-winning movie. This American-Mexican movie is a dramatic retelling of a housekeeper's life as she works for a middle-class family in Mexico. While it's not taken the box office by storm, critics have gone wild for this production.
It was also nominated for 10 Academy Awards, winning three of them. Sadly, the production of this movie was caught in the crossfire when five crew members had to go to the hospital after being robbed on set. While this is certainly not a blooper, it is something that slowed down production and was a huge part of the filming process. We feel so sorry for everyone involved – what a horrid thing to have happened!
